Dining Around Takanawa Gateway: From the Station District to Takanawa and Shinagawa
Map & surroundings
Dining around Takanawa Gateway has expanded rapidly, particularly within NEWoMan Takanawa, where restaurants, cafes and food retailers now support everything from weekday lunches to evening dining. Cafes are also available within the station itself. MoN Takanawa adds venues including MoN Park Cafe, MoN Kitchen and Laube. Walking west toward Sengakuji brings additional restaurants along Route 15 and in established Takanawa streets, while heading south toward Shinagawa provides access to hotel dining and large commercial complexes. Within roughly 500 meters of the station, the mix is dominated by newer development-oriented venues; extending the radius to 800 meters or one kilometer adds more long-established neighborhood restaurants and a wider range of price points. Because the area is also a major office district, some venues become busy during weekday lunch hours. Opening days and hours vary, and major events can increase demand, so checking current information is advisable when visiting a specific restaurant.
