Parks and Green Space Around Aoyama-itchome

One of Aoyama-itchome's distinguishing environmental features is its proximity to Meiji Jingu Gaien and the surrounding greenery north and east of the station. The Gaien avenues and sports-facility area are commonly used for walking and running. Minato City's Aoyama Park in Minami-aoyama 2-chome provides another neighborhood green space. Official city information gives its area as 9,752.74 square meters and lists play space, flower beds, seating, exercise equipment and toilets among its facilities, with cherry and flowering dogwood trees providing seasonal interest. Although major traffic routes such as Aoyama-dori run directly through the district, substantial greenery is accessible within a short walk. The Meiji Jingu Gaien area is also undergoing a long-term redevelopment project, so construction zones, pedestrian routes and availability of individual facilities may change over time.
