Dining Around Aoyama-itchome
Map & surroundings
Aoyama-itchome has a substantial office population, so restaurants near the station and inside nearby buildings are strongly geared toward weekday lunches and after-work dining. Cafes, Japanese restaurants, Western food, noodle shops and izakaya-style establishments are available, while the range expands significantly along Aoyama-dori toward Gaienmae. Heading in the opposite direction gives access to the much larger restaurant concentration around Akasaka. If a 10- to 20-minute walk is considered part of the normal neighborhood, dining choice is therefore extensive. However, businesses in office-oriented blocks can have very different weekday and weekend schedules. Residents should check where reliable evening and weekend options are located rather than evaluating the district only during weekday lunchtime. Individual opening hours change frequently and should be confirmed before visiting.
