Overview and Character of Aoyama-itchome

Aoyama-itchome Station is located in Minami-aoyama 1-chome, Minato City, with Kita-aoyama, Akasaka, Moto-akasaka and the Meiji Jingu Gaien area forming part of its practical walking catchment. The district combines office buildings along Aoyama-dori with quieter residential streets and significant greenery around Meiji Jingu Gaien and the Akasaka Imperial Estate. Compared with the fashion and retail concentration around Omotesando and Gaienmae, the immediate Aoyama-itchome area has a stronger business character, with corporate headquarters and offices generating substantial weekday activity. A short walk toward Minami-aoyama or Akasaka, however, brings more condominium and residential properties into view. Ginza, Hanzomon and Toei Oedo subway services provide convenient access to Shibuya, Akasaka-mitsuke, Nagatacho, Roppongi and Shinjuku. When evaluating the area, it is useful to distinguish between properties directly on Aoyama-dori and those inside residential streets, as well as between the Gaien and Akasaka sides of the station.
