Living Around Akabanebashi as a Foreign Resident
Map & surroundings
Akabanebashi sits close to Higashiazabu, Azabujuban, Mita and Shiba Park and forms part of Minato's internationally oriented residential area. Minato City operates a foreign-resident consultation service on weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Its 2026 guidance lists support in languages including English, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, Spanish, Vietnamese and French, among others. Minato City Hall is at 1-5-25 Shiba-koen and is relatively accessible from Akabanebashi. Foreign-national children can also complete procedures to enter municipal schools. Tokyo Tower itself offers official information in several languages. For renting, however, acceptance conditions vary by landlord and property, including guarantor-company requirements, residence status and domestic contact details, so each listing must be checked individually.
