The immediate station area, however, is primarily commercial and business-oriented rather than a concentration of low-cost student housing. When searching for accommodation, comparing nearby areas such as Akasaka, Nogizaka or Aoyama-itchome may provide different cost and living-environment options. Total travel time and transfers may be more important than simply minimizing walking distance to Akasaka-mitsuke.
