Parks and Green Space
Map & surroundings
The immediate Akasaka-mitsuke area is a dense central-city environment, but parks and greenery become accessible when walking farther into Akasaka. Minato City's Hitotsugi Park, at 5-5-26 Akasaka, covers 4,654.01 square meters. The city lists play facilities, rest areas, flowerbeds and toilets, along with seasonal trees including cherry, fragrant olive, maple and ginkgo. Larger concentrations of greenery can also be seen around Moto-Akasaka and the Akasaka Imperial Estate northwest of the station. There is no major urban park immediately outside the station, however, so households that place a high priority on daily walks or children's outdoor activity should check the actual route from a prospective residence. Akasaka also has numerous slopes, meaning map distance alone may not accurately represent walking effort.
