Nearest station: Akasaka-mitsuke

Akasaka-mitsuke Station is in Akasaka 3-chome, Minato City, and is served by the Tokyo Metro Ginza and Marunouchi lines. The immediate area is centered on the restaurants and commercial streets of Akasaka 3-chome, while Moto-Akasaka, Nagatacho, Akasaka 2-chome and Akasaka 4-chome are also within the broader walking area. Government and political institutions dominate toward Nagatacho, while offices, hotels, restaurants and residences extend through Akasaka. The district therefore changes noticeably between daytime business activity and its evening dining scene. Historically, much of Akasaka consisted of samurai estates during the Edo period and later developed as a political and commercial district. As of September 1, 2026, Akasaka 3-chome had only 231 registered residents, illustrating the strongly commercial character immediately around the station. Residential buildings become more common in surrounding parts of Akasaka.
