Omote-sando has an unusually large concentration of hair and beauty businesses, cosmetics stores, fashion retailers, cafes and clinics, and the main streets remain active from daytime into the evening. Multiple station exits also make walking to different parts of Aoyama convenient. Conditions can change noticeably, however, between brightly lit commercial streets and quieter residential lanes.
