Walking-area guide: 500m / 800m / 1km

Nearest station: Shibakoen

Shibakoen offers easy movement across central Tokyo as well as immediate access to parks and cultural sites, making it convenient for university students and young professionals with activities across the city. Walking to Daimon or Hamamatsucho adds JR services, the Asakusa and Oedo lines and Tokyo Monorail, useful for school, part-time work and travel. Everyday restaurants become more numerous toward Shiba, Daimon and Hamamatsucho. However, students are only one small part of the area's population; office workers, tourists and permanent residents are also prominent. It is not a university-town environment with a concentration of low-cost student shops at the station. Housing ranges from compact studios to expensive high-rise and luxury apartments, so students and younger renters may benefit from comparing Shibakoen with nearby Mita, Shiba and Hamamatsucho based on rent, size, building age and commuting time.
