Events Around Shibakoen

The Shibakoen area hosts events throughout the year in the park, at Zojoji and around Tokyo Tower. As of September 11, 2026, Metropolitan Shiba Park was officially advertising a tree stamp rally for October 3, a Photo and Walk event on October 17, a running and healthy walking festival on October 24, and cultural-property walks on October 25 and 30 and November 3. Zojoji's September calendar included a sutra-copying gathering on September 14, the Kuromotozon prayer service and sutra repository opening on September 15, autumn equinox services beginning September 20 and a major equinox-day service on September 23. Event days can noticeably change pedestrian levels in the park, nearby streets and restaurants. This gives residents convenient access to cultural and outdoor programs but can also produce temporary crowding. Dates and participation requirements should be reconfirmed on the organizers' official sites before attending.
