Nearest station: Shibakoen

One of Shibakoen's strongest environmental advantages is immediate access to Metropolitan Shiba Park. According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association, the park extends across Shibakoen 1-4 chome, is generally open at all times and has free admission. It is listed as about a two-minute walk from Shibakoen Station. Seasonal plants include cherry blossoms and Japanese kerria in spring, hydrangeas in summer, spider lilies and autumn foliage in fall, and plum blossoms in winter. Sports facilities include two baseball fields and three artificial-turf tennis courts. Historic features such as the Shiba Maruyama Kofun give the park a character beyond that of a conventional urban green space. A new tree map was released in July 2026. Because the park is divided into several sections and visually connects with Zojoji and Tokyo Tower, it offers a variety of walking routes. Heat in midsummer and darker sections after nightfall should be considered when choosing routes.
