Walking-area guide: 500m / 800m / 1km

Nearest station: Shibakoen

Dining around Shibakoen has different characteristics on the western and eastern sides of the station. Toward Shiba Park and Tokyo Tower, hotel restaurants, visitor-oriented restaurants and cafes are useful for meetings, entertaining guests and weekend outings. Moving toward Daimon, Hamamatsucho, Shibadaimon and Shiba brings a much larger selection of everyday lunch shops, set meals, noodles, cafes and izakaya serving office workers. The immediate 500-meter radius can appear relatively limited, but expanding the walking area to 800 meters or one kilometer incorporates much of the Hamamatsucho district. Because the neighborhood has a strong office component, some restaurants are busiest at weekday lunch while others close or shorten hours on weekends and public holidays. Residents who dine out frequently should check weekend as well as weekday evening availability.
