Takeshiba is not a traditional student neighborhood filled with university campuses and budget restaurants, but it offers cultural and business facilities that appeal to younger users. WATERS takeshiba provides theaters, restaurants and waterfront open space, while Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba includes cafes, event halls, production facilities and shared offices. Hamamatsucho and Daimon are within walking distance, giving access to JR, Toei Subway and Tokyo Monorail services for travel to schools and workplaces across Tokyo. Housing, however, is more characteristic of waterfront apartments and major mixed-use developments than a large supply of dedicated student accommodation.
