Kaigan 1-chome around Takeshiba Station falls under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police Department's Atago Police Station. Takeshiba Koban is located at 1-12-2 Kaigan near the passenger ship terminal. The police note that the terminal area becomes busy around ship arrivals and departures but has fewer pedestrians at night, when patrols are strengthened.
