Overview and Character of the Takeshiba Station Area

Takeshiba Station, U03 on the Yurikamome Line, is located on the Tokyo Bay waterfront in Kaigan 1-chome, Minato City. Once characterized mainly by the Takeshiba Passenger Ship Terminal and business facilities, the district has evolved through major developments such as Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba and WATERS takeshiba. WATERS takeshiba contains atre Takeshiba, the JR East Shiki Theatres Haru and Aki, the Jiyu Theatre, Mesm Tokyo, offices, a waterfront plaza and a pier. Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba includes a 40-story office tower, a residential tower, the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho-kan, restaurants and event facilities. As of September 1, 2026, Kaigan 1-chome had 2,425 registered residents in 1,503 households. Hamamatsucho and Daimon stations are also within walking distance, giving the area an unusual combination of rail access, maritime transport and waterfront urban living.
