Kamiyacho Station is a Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line station in Toranomon 5-chome, Minato City. Its practical neighborhood extends across Toranomon, Azabudai and Atago. Large office buildings line Sakurada-dori, while temples, shrines and residential streets remain close behind the main commercial corridors. The district has changed substantially with Tokyo World Gate and Kamiyacho Trust Tower, followed by the opening of Azabudai Hills in 2023. Azabudai Hills is directly connected to Exit 5 of Kamiyacho Station and adds retail, restaurants, cultural facilities, medical services, offices and residences within walking distance. Toward Atagoyama and Shiba Park, the environment becomes greener and more historic. Kamiyacho also sits between the government and business districts of Kasumigaseki and Toranomon and the commercial and cultural areas of Roppongi. Weekday pedestrian activity is therefore strongly business-oriented. The coexistence of major redevelopment projects with older streets, religious sites and established residential pockets gives Kamiyacho a distinctive central-Tokyo character.
