Latest Area Updates around Shirokane-takanawa

As of September 11, 2026, the most important ongoing urban-development project around Shirokane-takanawa is the Shirokane 1-chome Western Central Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project. Minato City's December 2025 update describes a site of approximately 1.6 hectares. The main A block will contain a 39-story, one-basement-level building about 140 meters high, with housing, shops, childcare-support facilities, factory space and parking. The plan includes 991 homes, while the A-block gross floor area is approximately 97,910 square meters. The rights-conversion plan was approved in February 2024, construction began in October 2025 and completion is scheduled for fiscal 2029. Related block boundaries at Shirokane 1-chome addresses 15 and 16 were changed on March 31, 2026, although Minato City states that no existing building addresses changed.
