Shopping around Tamachi

Retail around Tamachi is oriented more toward everyday and office-worker needs than large department-store shopping. On the Shibaura side, the official msb Tamachi floor guide lists a Life supermarket, Matsumoto Kiyoshi drugstore, Kumazawa bookstore, convenience stores and numerous restaurants. On the western side, Tamachi Tower Mall adds restaurants, cafés, banking facilities and service businesses and was still announcing new tenant openings in August 2026. Convenience stores and drugstores are widely distributed on both the Mita and Shibaura sides, making routine purchases easy during a commute. Tamachi is not, however, a major destination for large-scale electronics, furniture or luxury fashion shopping, for which Shinagawa, Ginza or Yurakucho provide broader choices. For residents in Shibaura, the station-area supermarket is particularly useful for groceries, although the most convenient store depends on the exact building location. Long-term residents should also check evening and weekend opening hours.
