Childcare around Tamachi

The Shibaura side of Tamachi has a comparatively strong concentration of childcare services. Minato City's 2026 facility information lists Shibaura Nursery and the Appy Shibaura parenting space at 3-1-16 Shibaura, Tamachi Nursery Room at 3-4-1 Shibaura and a Shibaura Nursery annex within Minato Park Shibaura. Private licensed nurseries also operate in Shibaura 1-chome, but facility availability can change. On August 26, 2026, Minato City announced that Taiyo no Ko Shibaura 1-chome Nursery is scheduled to close on March 31, 2027 and would stop accepting new admissions from September 2026. Families should therefore not assume admission simply because a facility is nearby; current vacancies need to be checked for the child's age and intended admission month. Minato Park Shibaura also concentrates administrative and recreational facilities beside Shibaura Park. Parents using strollers may want to inspect the pedestrian deck and elevator route between Tamachi Station and their chosen childcare facility.
