Nearest station: Tamachi

Tamachi Station in Minato City is served by JR East's Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku/Negishi Line. The west, or Mita, side connects to Mita Station on the Toei Asakusa and Mita lines, Keio University's Mita Campus, Mita-dori and Fudanotsuji. The east, or Shibaura, side opens onto a modern office and residential district containing msb Tamachi, Minato Park Shibaura and Shibaura Park. West of the tracks are universities, temples, established offices and older streets, while the eastern side is characterized by large redevelopment projects, tower residences and canals. The character can change noticeably within a 500-metre walk. Expanding the practical radius to 800 metres or one kilometre brings parts of Shiba, Mita, Shibaura and Kaigan into daily reach. Office workers and students dominate weekday station traffic, while the Shibaura side also supports a substantial family population. The close combination of transport, education, government services, recreation, housing and business gives Tamachi a balanced live-work-study character.
