Women's Daily Life Around Tameike-sanno: Excellent Access with Route-Specific Nighttime Checks
Map & surroundings
Tameike-sanno's Ginza and Namboku Line services, plus the internal connection to the Marunouchi and Chiyoda lines at Kokkai-gijidomae, provide strong commuting convenience for women living alone as well as other residents. Routes around Akasaka Intercity AIR, hotels, restaurants and government offices are active through much of the weekday. Some office and embassy-oriented streets in Akasaka 1-chome become much quieter late at night or on weekends. Although the area is within Akasaka Police Station's jurisdiction, no current official dataset was identified that isolates risk specifically for women within the exact station walking radius. Safety should therefore not be generalized for the whole neighborhood. Prospective residents should walk the actual return route at their usual evening hour and check lighting, open businesses, slopes, pavement width, entrance visibility, controlled access and security cameras. Akasaka 2-chome also has a lively dining zone, so convenience and nighttime activity should be evaluated building by building.
