As of September 11, 2026, Zojoji's September schedule includes a sutra-copying session on September 14, the Shogo-ku Kurohonzon prayer service and public opening of the sutra repository on September 15, autumn equinox observances from September 20 through 26, a major equinox service on September 23, and a special nembutsu gathering on September 24. Sunday preaching is also normally held at 9:00 a.m. in the main hall. Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Gardens generally offers free garden tours at 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, lasting approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Tours pause in July and August for heat-safety reasons, so September operation is subject to current weather and park notices.
