Dining in Hamamatsucho and Daimon

Hamamatsucho's large office population creates substantial weekday lunch demand. Within the broader walking area toward Daimon and Shibadaimon, diners can find Japanese food, izakaya, cafés, noodles and international cuisines, as well as many venues used for after-work business meals. The district is less extensive as a nightlife center than Shimbashi, but portions of the west side remain active into the evening. East toward Takeshiba, waterfront-oriented commercial facilities provide additional dining options. The World Trade Center redevelopment will also progressively renew station-connected retail and restaurant space. Individual restaurant openings, closures and hours change frequently, so specific venues should be checked at the time of use. For residents, abundant dining is convenient, but apartments directly above restaurants or close to late-night businesses may experience additional noise and pedestrian activity and should be inspected after dark.
