Nearest station: Hamamatsucho

Hamamatsucho Station, in Kaigan 1-chome, is served by JR East's Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku lines. The adjoining Monorail Hamamatsucho Station provides direct access to the Tokyo Monorail Haneda Airport Line, giving the district an important gateway role between central Tokyo and Haneda Airport. To the west are Daimon, Shibadaimon, Shiba Park and Zojoji Temple, while the east side leads toward Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Gardens, Takeshiba and Tokyo Bay. Although the district is strongly business-oriented, Hamamatsucho 1- and 2-chome also contain residential properties. Minato City's September 1, 2026 statistics record 2,235 residents in Hamamatsucho 1-chome and 701 in 2-chome. Large-scale redevelopment centered on the World Trade Center Building is transforming the station area into a broader mix of offices, retail, hotels, residences, MICE facilities and public space. At the same time, Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Gardens is only a one-minute walk from the JR north exit, and historic Zojoji Temple is also within the broader walking area.
