Mid- and high-rise apartments, offices and hotels line National Route 15 around Sengakuji. Climbing west leads quickly into the temple and residential streets of Takanawa 2-chome and Mita 4-chome. On September 1, 2026, those two neighborhoods had populations of 6,561 and 3,776 respectively. East of the station, Takanawa Gateway redevelopment continues to transform streets, pedestrian circulation and commercial functions. Residential evaluation should therefore include road and railway noise, slopes, views, sunlight and future surrounding construction, not simply minutes from the station. Existing condominiums require checks of seismic standards, management quality, repair reserves, long-term repair plans, water systems and elevators. Redevelopment can improve convenience and amenities, but new buildings and ongoing construction can also alter views and local conditions, so planned future development should form part of due diligence.
