Business Environment around Sengakuji
Map & surroundings
Sengakuji was already well positioned for business between Shinagawa and Tamachi, but the Takanawa Gateway project is substantially changing its commercial role. JR East describes the roughly 10-hectare TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY as an international exchange hub incorporating offices, convention functions, hotels, retail, cultural facilities and business-creation spaces. THE LINKPILLAR 1 opened on March 27, 2025 as Takanawa Gateway Station became fully operational, with additional major facilities opening through spring 2026. Sengakuji Station itself is undergoing platform and concourse expansion. For companies, access to Haneda, Shinagawa, Shimbashi and Nihombashi is a major advantage. Businesses considering smaller offices should still verify corporate-registration permission, 24-hour access, air-conditioning hours, visitor rules, signage and permitted use for each building.
