As of September 11, 2026, major urban transformation continues between Hinode, Shibaura 1-chome and Hamamatsucho. Minato City materials describe BLUE FRONT SHIBAURA, jointly promoted by Nomura Real Estate and JR East, as a twin-tower redevelopment centered on replacement of the former Hamamatsucho Building and comprising South and North towers. Hi-NODE at Hinode Pier opened in 2019 as a related project intended to promote waterborne transport and local activation. Minato City is also preparing a revision of its long-term urban master plan, looking roughly 20 years ahead, with formal revision scheduled for fiscal 2027. Public consultation on the revision framework ran from August through early September 2026. Hinode is therefore changing in parallel with redevelopment in Hamamatsucho, Takeshiba and Shibaura while retaining active port and logistics functions. Opening schedules, construction zones and pedestrian routes may continue to change, so current plans should be checked when making property or commercial-location decisions.
