Walking-area guide: 500m / 800m / 1km

Nearest station: Shimbashi

The western side of Shimbashi has a dense concentration of restaurants and drinking establishments and becomes particularly busy with office workers during weekday evenings. The Shiodome side is dominated by large offices and hotels, so conditions vary considerably even within a short walk of the same station. Safety is best assessed using current Metropolitan Police information together with an on-site check at the time residents expect to return home. Minato City's hazard-map portal, updated on September 9, 2026, provides information on tsunami, liquefaction, seismic shaking, flooding and inland flooding, storm surge and landslide risks. The flood and inland-flood maps were updated in July 2026, with an English edition added on September 1. Because Shimbashi and Higashi-Shimbashi are relatively close to the Tokyo Bay side of the ward, tenants, buyers and businesses should check the exact address for expected inundation, evacuation routes, emergency power and building procedures for elevator outages.
