Events Around Onarimon: September at Zojoji and Autumn Programs in Shiba Park

Religious, cultural and community events are held regularly around Zojoji and Shiba Park within walking distance of Onarimon. Zojoji's official September 2026 program lists a sutra-copying session on September 14, the Kuromonzon prayer service and public opening of the sutra repository on September 15, autumn equinox observances from September 20 through 26, a major service on September 23, a special nembutsu gathering on September 24 and the Sho-gei memorial observance on September 27. Sermons are also held in the main hall at 9 a.m. on Sundays. Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association has announced October activities at Shiba Park including a tree stamp rally, photography walk, running and health-walking festival, and cultural-property walks.
