Around Onarimon Station: Central Tokyo Living Between Shiba Park, Atago and Nishi-Shimbashi
Map & surroundings
The Onarimon walking area sits at the meeting point of Nishi-Shimbashi, Shiba Park, Shimbashi, Atago and Toranomon in central Minato City. To the west are Jikei University Hospital, Onarimon Gakuen Junior High School and office districts extending toward Atago and Toranomon. To the south and east are Minato City Hall, Minato Library, Metropolitan Shiba Park and Zojoji Temple. Tokyo Tower is also within walking distance, creating an unusual mix of modern offices, major medical and public institutions, historic religious sites and large green spaces. Minato City's resident register for September 1, 2026 records 875 residents in Nishi-Shimbashi 3-chome, 1,265 across Shiba Park 1-4 chome and 1,131 in Shimbashi 6-chome. The area therefore has a residential population, but its daytime character is strongly shaped by office workers, students, patients and public-sector visitors. Shimbashi, Daimon, Kamiyacho and Toranomon can also function as part of the broader daily activity zone.
