Living in Hiro-o for Women
Map & surroundings
Hiro-o allows residents to combine the Hibiya Line, groceries, pharmacies, restaurants and healthcare within a relatively compact area, which can shorten daily routines for people working in central Tokyo. Roppongi and Ebisu are each only one stop away. Although many residential streets are relatively calm, anyone living alone should inspect the specific nighttime route from the relevant station exit to the building, including lighting, pedestrian activity, blind spots, entrance security, auto-lock systems and management. Minami-Azabu is also notably hilly, so a route that feels easy in daylight may be different at night, in rain or while carrying luggage. The Japanese Red Cross Medical Center is officially about a 15-minute walk from Hiro-o Station, with smaller clinics also nearby. It is more useful to evaluate a specific building and return route than to rely on a generalized reputation for the entire neighborhood. Minato City additionally provides equality and human-rights consultation services.
