As of September 11, 2026, the most significant ongoing change around Gaiemmae is the Jingu Gaien District Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project. Minato City's published information describes a project area of approximately 17.5 hectares extending across Kasumigaokamachi in Shinjuku and Kita-Aoyama 1-2 chome in Minato. Plans include renewal of Meiji Jingu Stadium and Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium together with offices, retail, accommodation, cultural-exchange facilities, green space and pedestrian infrastructure.
