Nearest station: Roppongi

Roppongi Station is served by the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and the Toei Oedo Line and functions as a major transport node in Minato City. Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown, the National Art Center, Tokyo and the Mori Art Museum are all concentrated around the station, creating a dense mix of business, shopping and cultural activity. Yet Roppongi is not solely an entertainment district. Moving away from major roads such as Roppongi-dori and Gaien-Higashi-dori reveals condominium buildings and quieter residential streets. Roppongi Hills lies west to southwest of the station, Tokyo Midtown and Hinokicho Park to the north, and the National Art Center to the northwest, placing many key destinations within roughly 500 to 800 meters. Office workers and cultural visitors dominate much of the daytime activity, while restaurants and nightlife become more prominent in the evening. Minato City's concentration of embassies and international companies also gives the neighborhood a distinctly multilingual character.
