Latest Mita Area Updates — September 2026

As of September 10, 2026, several current developments are relevant to Mita. Minato City has temporarily suspended the Chii Bus stop named Asakusa Line Mita Station on the Tamachi and Shiba routes since July 21, directing riders to Tamachi Station or Mita Line Mita Station instead. The stop with the same name on the Takanawa route remains in operation. Minato City also updated flood, inland-flood and storm-surge information in July 2026 and published a new English edition of its flood and inland-flood hazard map on September 1. Looking farther ahead, a major development is planned around the west side of Tamachi Station. Published planning documents include widening JR Tamachi Station's east-west passage and creating a barrier-free pedestrian connection between JR Tamachi and the Toei Asakusa Line at Mita. These improvements are planned rather than fully completed, so residents, commuters and property buyers should continue checking official project updates.
