Two subway lines at Mita and JR services at nearby Tamachi allow commuters to choose among several routes depending on destination and time of day. Supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies and restaurants around the station make everyday errands relatively convenient. For women's healthcare, Aiiku Hospital in Shibaura 1-chome provides obstetrics and gynecology, women's internal medicine and breast surgery and lists Mita Station Exit A6 as about a six-minute walk. When evaluating housing, however, advertised station walking time is only one factor. It is useful to inspect the actual exit used after dark, major road crossings, routes through nightlife streets and any steep slopes.
