Overview and Atmosphere Around Odaiba-kaihinkoen Station
Map & surroundings
Odaiba-kaihinkoen Station is a Yurikamome station in Daiba 2-chome, Minato City. Tokyo Bay and the metropolitan Odaiba Marine Park extend to the west and north of the station, with views toward Rainbow Bridge and the historic Third Battery. Residential complexes, particularly in Daiba 1-chome, form a substantial local community alongside major destinations such as DECKS Tokyo Beach and AQUA CiTY ODAIBA. Although Odaiba is widely known as a tourism and entertainment district, everyday community facilities including Daiba Nursery School, Daiba Children's Hall and Odaiba Gakuen are also concentrated nearby. According to Minato City's Basic Resident Register, Daiba 1-chome had 4,504 residents and Daiba 2-chome 983 residents as of September 1, 2026, for a combined population of 5,487. The residential streets can feel comparatively calm on ordinary weekdays, while weekends and event days bring substantially more visitors to the waterfront and commercial zone. The area's defining quality is the coexistence of an open waterfront setting with a deliberately planned urban residential and commercial environment.
